In Barangay Gusa are some of the oldest subdivisions of the City loacated, like Capistrano Complex called CapCom and Villa Ernesto Phase I and II.

In Barangay Gusa is the new extended and renovated CCC General Hospital along the national highway and on Borja Extention the Sacred Heart of Jesus Montessori School at home.

House fire in Villa Ernesto Phase 2 on Jan. 30, 2012

It was just timing. I was on my way home inside a jeepney to Cugman when the firetrucks arrived. I jumped out and followed them. I wanted to see how is the response in case of fire in the city.

It was a house fire at the last corner of Villa Ernesto Phase 2 in Gusa from the seaside. When I arrived the fire was almost put out.

The firefighters from Tablon had responded and were the ones to be the first at the scene. Next came the firebrigade from Graphics and the city. There were at least 4 large water tankers on stand-by.

It's not easy with what firefighters have here to fight besides fire. The first firefighters must have overlooked the low hanging wires when they arrived at the scene and pulled down a whole post with electrical wires. That was the problem when the firetrucks wanted to leave.

The wire the fireman holds, is not a live wire but only to secure the post.
